sessions
Recording sessions took place in three different locations; Outpost Studios, where Tony recorded all of his vocals, keyboards, acoustic guitars, flute, and bass guitar tracks. First Wave Digital, where William's guitar, keyboard and bass tracks were recorded and where the album was mixed and engineered, and Box of Armageddon Studios where the drums, percussion, Cayce's banjo, Kenny's mandolin and Laura “Red” Redlisky-Readyoff's violin were recorded. Other contributors like John Sergio (bass guitar, tin whistle) and Scott Harris (piano and other keyboards) recorded in their home studios. Below you will find photos from those sessions so you can get a sense of how cool we are and how much fun we have recording.
My favorite photo from the sessions. Left to right starting at the top: Kenny, Casey, Mike (for some reason Mike is not singing on Shadowland but he will be on the next release), Tony, and William
Casey recording his banjo track for Davey Jones
Laura “Red” Redlisky-Readyoff recording her beautiful violin tracks on "The Red Beast Part III - The Lost Things We Love"
William hard at work at the console
Casey laying down some percussion tracks
Kenny recording his mandolin track on Davey Jones.
William and Tony in the studio
William and Kenny rehearsing parts. Unfortunately, like Mike, Kenny did not play bass on Shadowland due to scheduling issues. He's an excellent bass player.
Casey laying down some solid drum tracks
William's gear at First Wave Digital Studios
William at the console once again
Another shot of the "crew" - Cayce, Tony, Mike, and Kenny
Yet another shot - this time with everyone at that session.
For someone who didn't play a lick of bass on this album, there sure are a lot of photos of him - hey - he's my brother!
The gang once again but with special guest Anthony Garone from Make Weird Music.
Ain't nothin' cooler than a dark studio, right?
